And after many requests, I am back. Here's the deal: if you miss the Blogs, come over to the Pi Phi house and tell the girls that are jacking with our network. I'm sure they will share your sentiments.

So I haven't waited this long to Blog in a while! It's been a whole freakin' week! So you know what that means: If this one was gonna be any longer, you might as well call it a textbook.

Instead of giving a brief synopsis of everyday, I will share with you my favorite moments.

Best Moment, last Thursday: Me, Michael, and Katie were all chatting it up at the Hall when a cowboy that Michael "Sort of" knows walks up. He's nice except for the fact that he's practically drooling over Katie. Here's what all he says:
"Hey, your friend Katie is HOT!" (Keep in mind he's standing across from her)
"Can you cook? My roommate's like Martha Stewart!"
As as he leaves, he leans in to give Katie a hug, that looks more like he's trying to kiss her!
Oh, and then one of Francois' corps buddies, who is a little tipsy, but is a very good dancer, talks to Katie for a long while. Then he uses a really sweet pickup line, which I was lucky enough to overhear: "Hey Katie, I dunno how to dance, will you teach me?"
Whatever, what a bunch of flirts! GO SHAWTY K, its yo birthday!

Best Moment, last Friday: Michael drove me to work a dance competition in Houston, which is wear I heard the story about the Supercats. You'll see it below.

Best Moment, last Saturday: I came home from working the dance competition and was Xtremeley Xhausted. I was supposed to stand for 13 hours at under minimum wage, but I took too many breaks and got in trouble. And yes, I felt like I was in kindergarten again when I was "scolded" for my behavior. But Michael suprised me by bringing me lunch up at the school. So sweet, that man!

Best Moment, last Sunday: Taught my step/abs and back class, and had a long meeting. Was at the Rec from dusk till dawn. Nah, from about 6:45 to 10:30. :)

Best Moment, Monday: Class, books, meeting, no fun, remained at WCL on the computer forever!!! I miss my internet!

Best Moment, Tuesday: First day of intermediate ballet and my legs are le tired! Went to the first day of health as well, and my grad student teacher is da bomb. He's a nice looking black fella from Arkansas, and he thinks school is cool, but the class is too long, so he's gonna let us out early. Worked out, and as I was on the elliptical, who walked up but Michael! I was so proud of him for working out! I asked him how he found me and he said Katie told him he could probably find me there. What are roommates for if they don't know you backwards and forwards? Later that night, I went out to the Sig Ep house to meet some of the rushees. Cool dudes. Looks like a solid pledge class. Me and Michael got coffee and talked later on...

Best Moment, Wednesday: Class, books, lost my keys in my car for about 10 minutes and looked like a butthead walking around the parking lot of Rother's (or Traditions, whatever its called) while the keys hid under my seat. Did a lot of stuff and went to teach hip hop, followed it with rehearsal for a piece my friend Amanda is choreographing to "Me Against the Music", and then went to the movies with Amie. We saw "Along Came Polly" and I still think Ben Stiller is HOT!

Best Moment, Thursday: What a great day! I started out with three classes in a row, rode home with Katie after the last one, and paid the phone bill, all by four o clock! I then preceded to get ready for the SAE Date Party, which was basically a sit down italian dinner at their house. I got to meet and greet with alot of Michael's brothers and the rushees. We went to Carney's afterwards, and our table made friends with a jamaican looking man playing pool. The smoke got icky so we left to meet Katie, Amanda, and Francois at the Tap. I went and changed and we all had a laugh about how me and Michael don't exactly match sometimes. I was wearing my black fedora, jeans, a little black top, and a fur-trimmed floor length jacket. Michael was wearing his loafers (no socks, of course), his khakis, and a pink button down Polo. Hehehe!!! We really don't dress alike, but when you're in love does that really matter? :)
THEN, we went to leave and a Firebird was double parked behind Katie. We waited 45 mins for the tow truck and he said he couldn't legally tow the car, but he could move it in enough time for Katie to back out. Urgh!

And now, Today!! I went to pickup Richard and we scarfed down some Fazoli's. And I'm here, at the Read Computer Lab now. I'll be at the Rec after this, and Shadow tonight!

Tomorrow!!! It is Bid Day, whoop!
SUNDAY!! I am doing some promo work for Cadillac out @ the Superbowl. No, I don't get to go to the game, but I do get a free shirt and a nice check.

I apologize. I'll keep this thing updated!!! And funnier too, I swear.
Before I go, I have some credits to hand out:

Most Extreme College Mascot of 2004: So when Southwest changed over to Texas State, they apparently wanted a big change. Seems their old mascot was too mundane. Enter, the future of TSU Athletics: the SUPERCATS!! With it freakish profile and purple hair, it is sure to strike fear into the hearts of many a rival. Because we all fear for our lives in San Marcos. Especially now that the Supercats are "on the prowl". You think that's what they'll say?
Footnote: First one to wear a Supercats sweatshirt is a rotten egg!

Worst Car Decor: Huge A&M stickers that cover up the entire back window, somehow trying to make up for the lack of a good paint job, or just a cool car in general.

Newest Adversary: "The Puddle" He sits behind the MSC, waiting for you to try and get on Wehner Express. When it rains, he is big, and impossible to traverse. When the sky is clear, you think he is gone, but alas, he is still there, forcing you to soak you Adidas with leftover rain goo. But can you go on the grass to avoid him? Of course not, this is Texas A&M, people!

Coolest Website Ever: I've never been to it, but how can you go wrong with a webspace titled www.Xtremeconditioning.com?

Rhyzzle o' da Dizzle:
"From salt to Polaroids,
A wiggle just won't do,
You gotta shake it up,
Like rap billionaires do,
From Outkast to Ying Yang,
And back around to me,
Shake it in to 2004,
And outta 2003!"

And I be throwin the DEUCE!

Hello amigos, amigas. Greeting from my new home, the West Campus Library. Since my internet is STILL shot, I am forced to chill up here till the cows come home. Now, if the internet at Texas A&M messes up, well I am in BIG trouble!

So first I have to tell a funny story about my best friend, my roommate, the one and only, KATIE! Or, Shawty K, K-Dawg, whatever I feel like callin her at the moment.

So here's Katie, leaving Wehner on Tuesday morning....lallala. First, she runs into Clint, my previous boyfriend of four or so years. Cool. THEN, she sees Michael, my current sweetie. THEN, she passes Bo Wilson, whom I had a little crush on when he was a yell leader. (Come on, you girls all know you did that too!) And THEN, she passes a guy that I had a crush on not too long ago.

IS SHE LUCKY or what?

Last night I hit up the Rec again for a little cardio and abs, and then headed out to Breakway with Michael. He hurt his appendix but he still worshipped it up with me. This guy is A-mazing. :) :) :)

So HOLLA at the second, and might I add, successful day of school. Woke up, went to Dance History, and went on trying to get forced into THREE classes in a row that I need before I can be admitted to the second phase of my major. Good news? I got two out of three. Bad news? My advisor decided we dont need all three after all, just one. Geez. So I am still looking at May 06 indefinitely. SUCK!

I will never get outta here folks, ever!!!!

Anyways, then I headed home to go over some stuff for my hip hop class. Then we had dinner downstairs, and I left for the Rec, my second home. My hip hop class was hug tonight! And the people were awesome! They actually seemed like they were enjoying themselves, and it was so comforting. I love teaching to eager learners!!! But I shall never do it for a profession, k?

OOOH I wish I had more to say but it's only been a day!!! I miss seeing everyone still. I feel like school's been a whirlwind.

Anyone is free to come hang up at the WCL computer lab with me anytime, since I still have no informations superhighway at the abode!

WORST NAME EVER, as heard on V103.1, College Station's ONLY hip hop station: Jeromeo

Talks to themself loudly while plopping down next to one of the only people (me) in the computer lab.

So here's the sitch: I had no internet-enabled personal computer at home. So I a-say to a-myself: "I cannot wait to be back in College Station, where the information superhighway is abundant, and travels at light speed!"
Oh wow, was I wrong or what?
Some nut in the sorority house still hasn't figured out that they have a virus, so we're all getting to suffer.

It wouldn't be so annoying except for the fact that one of my classes is ONLINE>>>>>>>>>>> Irony? Well, YES!

So here I am up at the West Campus computer lab for my first time ever. I'm actually in a classroom in the computer lab and am currently discussing with Mark how funny it would be if there was actually a class going on right now and I was sitting in the middle of it. How would I duck out without looking like a total doofie!

So here we are, new day of school. New faces, new places, but best of all, syllabi till the papers in the school printers run dry!
And short speeches made by "the new prof" while you get to size them up. But what really gets my excitement going is writing down dates in my planner.
I have two classes today and about five million tomorrow cause I have to get forced into some before I can get passed off to the final phase of my program. No wonder people never graduate from this institution.

I would like to own a copy of "Most eXtreme Primate" on DVD if anyone sees it in their local video wonderland. From what I have seen the synopsis is a snowboarding chimpanzee. And with a storyline like that....well what more could a moviegoer ask for?

So aside from only having gone to one class, I haven't done much. Got up and went to an aerobics class, breakfast, shower, ballet, lunch, and now I'm here, embracing the Texas A&M University internet network.

I took Michael to Kroger yesterday, and found something funny. He's "That Guy" who always befriends the cashier and gets her to talk to him the whole time. Funny, they didn't even card him. Wonder why...that's pretty slick. I know he's 21 and all but I wanna get carded till I'm 30!

I also saw Clint yesterday @ the MSC! Talk about a long time!! He looks great everyone! :)

Last night over a bowl of red beans and rice I said a final farewell to something I am going to never see again: reality shows. When I go home to G-town, it's TV america. When I get back into college mode and live without the cable, its back to no time for tv. I guess that's good and all, but hopefully mom will keep me updated with the latest Average Joe or American Idol.

Tonight the Peg-ster is cooking us breakfast for dinner at the PP house. Nothing makes me happier than a little morning goodness totally out of place in the evening. (Like I never go to IHOP for dinner, yeah right!)

Cortneyism of the Day: In response to a certain someone's sweet but silly statement: "If women did nothing, nothing would get done."

I better be off and do what I really came here to do. WORK, as they say!
I love you and all hope to see you soon!

I dedicate this post to Brooke Blevins, 1983-2003. Please pray for her family.

It feels great outside! The high is 50, the sun is shining, and the blue sky hasn't a speck of clouds! WHOOP!

Kinda funny how my last entry describes what horrid weather I was facing. Now if it would only stay this way for at least a month, I would be so happy.

Yesterday I got up and went to Grace with Ben, and saw a lot of Pi Phis. We went to the old and the college service, and they were good. I went home and did some reading, took a nap, and ate some leftovers ALL WHILE watching approximately 16 episodes of Beavis and Butthead. "Multitasking..."

Then Michael came and picked me up to go to dinner with his family at Christopher's. The restaurant was awesome, but I'd have to say the company was even better! I got to meet his mother, father, and sister, Morgan. I wasn't shy like I normally am, and I felt so comfortable with them!

"Yessss" Clenched fist!

We rented "seabiscuit" and it was alright. I'd be lying if I said I didn't take a nap halfway through it, and didn't understand why the jockey, played by a redheaded Tobey Maguire, messed up his leg and couldn't ride again until the race at the end. Good history lesson though.

I'm up at the SCC right now waiting on a meeting for my Anatomy course to start. I'm taking it online, but its still campus based, so its not like I won't have tests up here and stuff. I just bought my books from a nice guy named Jeff and he said that the class was pretty hard. Here goes nothing.

I will try to enjoy my last day of freedom since we start a new semester tomorrow. Have a GLORIOUS day everyone!

HELLO!!! What a lovely hot and sticky Saturday! I cannot believe it's snowing in Lubbock, and here in Aggieland I began sweating while I walked about 50 feet back to the car.

Oh how I miss Dallas, with its random spurts of 50 degree winds and nighttime temperatures below freezing.
Alas, I will settle on College Station because we all know "there's no place like home..."

Right now, Katie is sitting on her bed eating a scrumptious sandwich from Blue Baker, and we are watching "Newsies", a classic Disney musical. It's pretty good, I like the exaggerated "New Yawk" accents.
But my favorite accent would the Georgia plantation accent, as heard in "Gone With the Wind." :)

This mornin I met Ben Naylor for breakfast and we caught up over some coffee. I was scolded for my choice in eggs. I prefer Sunny Side-up and he says they look like yellow snot. "I hate running, so why would I want my eggs to do it?" Clever, Ben, but too bad you haven't experienced the golden greatness.
We also took a journey to find an oscillating fan and to get the watch fixed. It was a fun morning!

Here's to a great day!!!

Wish of the Day: For my legs to grow, or my jeans to fit the same and be shorter in length, or to become tall and thin to fit the jeans. 'Tis but a wish.

Cortneyism of the Day, and also my current away message: "A Lifetime movie without Ann Jillian is like a "Get your Degree from Home!" commercial without Sally Struthers."

P.S. I am sorry to discontinue my "Cortney's Perfect Man" listings, but if you want an example, I'll introduce you to Michael!!! AWW, I know, I DID just say that, but this guy literally amazes me all the time.

"I'm addicted to you, don't you know that you're toxic?" - the former Mrs. Jason Alexander

I'm at Michael's right now, DUH.
I just got back in College Station this afternoon. More to come later, but I will leave you with this:

Confusion of the Day: Me and Mike were havin a convo about rap artists, and he starts talking about how he liked Macy Gray. I objected heavily, saying that she sounded like crap. After much deliberation, we figured out that he was referring to Missy Elliot, not Macy Gray. Way to go, Mike.

Funny comment of the Day: Michael has decided he really likes that "milkshake" song. So we were talking about it and he asked me what purpose of the milkshake was. Being a hip hop guru, I explained that its like black people mojo. And then he goes "OH! I thought they were really talking about a milkshake!!"

Oh how I adore this guy!!!

YEE HAW!!!! I am 2 days away from being done with this tech writing class. We're about to start our oral research presentations now. Let's see if I can B.S. my way to a C or higher in this class! My paper is not so lovely. And its about goofy stuff that I don't think you can "technically" write a research paper on.
But that's for me prof to decide!

I'm going to eat lunch with Katie and Mark today! And Tuesday I went with Amie a lot of other peeps I haven't seen in about a year. I feel old because I've been "lunching" like an old woman lately, and I end up sitting there talking for hours, and become a squatter. But how fun is it to just talk?

I swear I'm like 50 lately. I sleep all the time, I enjoy cooking, I talk about the good ol days, and I scold Britney Spears....who am I?
But as people will tell you...I am also incredibly happy! :)

Those awesome flowers Mike gave me are now "drying" in the garage. I heard if you hang them upside down they dry pretty and stuff. So naturally I looked for a ribbon or something, and ended up having to dugt tape the roses to the handle of a hammer and suspend them from the baby refrigerator in the garage. If those aren't gonna be the best dried flowers ever! BAM!

Well, I gotta go for the time being and finish preparing my presentation that I'll be giving in about dos hours.

HOWDY!! I am back after a long break. But don't be jealous. I got to spend a whole week in Arkansas! (hint of sarcasm)

I'm in class of course, and we're having free time right now, but its more like
net time for me since the computer at home totally crashed, and I don't mean "went to sleep". So, I will not be online in 5-10 business days as promised!

Now on to re-hash the events of my "Happy Holidays"!
I spent an unplanned and unwanted weekend at my dad's girlfriend's home. The only fun part was learning how to ride a horse. Well..learning how to go, stop, and turn left or right!
Then we headed out to where my REAL family lives and I saw cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandfolks galore! I spent New Year's Eve watching my Arkansas Razorbacks BTHO Mizzou, and then we topped off the evening with some Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice and firecrackers in the front yard.
And yes "nerd" is my new middle name. But who said spending time with family isn't cool!

Maybe I got through the week so fast because Michael came to stay with us this weekend!! He drove up from H-town, and we had a blast. We went to dinner and a party with Katie on Friday night and then lunch with her, Kristy and Shane on Saturday. I got to show him Stonebriar Mall and we watched movies and did the chill thing. He met a lot of my friends, and they all really like him! My mom and sisters do too...they set up a whole surprise b-day party for him, with cake and the special banners, napkins, and musical candle!
One word?...wow...I haven't liked a guy like this in a long time...and I never thought I'd meet someone who has what I've been looking for...cross your fingers kiddos, pray I don't mess up! :)
Did I mention that I got a surprise bouquet of roses on Christmas Eve as well?
TOTAL brownie points for Mike!

So I have this 10 page research paper due Thursday, and I was planning on using one previously written this semester. Alas, it is missing, and I can only guess that it was on a floppy or deleted, ergo I am royally screwed.

So I should get back to doing that!!! This is the week of lunches with friends, and hopefully fixing my hair. I decided to be weird and dye it red, and now I don't like it, and you know the story, blah blah blah.

I'd rather be blonde anyway. That way I have an excuse for my consistent lack of common sense.

Happy Birthday to two of my favorite people, Amanda and Michael, yesterday!! The big 21!!!! I had to leave A a message, but I definitely talked to an aforementioned young man whose head was "spinning" at 12:15 last night. HA!

Watch out for May 11th!!!

Rhyzzle o' da Dizzle:
"Ate so much I had to buy new jeans,
Didn't help to fill up on cake and ice cream,
Ready to leave D-town before I grow twice as large,
And make a new bedroom in the front AND back yard!"

DEUCE!!! be back soon!
